Muscatine, Iowa - Kent Nutrition Group, Inc. (KNG) has reported to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that it is recalling certain Kent Feeds swine feed products manufactured between December 1, 2009 and June 7, 2010 due to a vitamin D deficiency in a vitamin premix purchased from Tri-Ag Supply, Inc.
KNG no longer purchases vitamin premix from this supplier.
Tri-Ag orally notified KNG that it intends to recall the vitamin pre-mix.
Any customer with Kent Feeds swine feed products manufactured between December 1, 2009 and June 7, 2010 should immediately discontinue use and return the product to the nearest KNG manufacturing facility, which includes plants at Altoona, Sioux City, and Waterloo, Iowa; Columbus, Nebraska; Marshall, Missouri; Logansport, Indiana; Louisville, Kentucky; Mason, Michigan; El Reno, Oklahoma, and Beardstown and Rockford, Illinois.
