Milk Formula™ 1 NT
Milk Formula™ I NT is specifically formulated to meet the needs of a newborn calf. It is an easy mixing formula containing high quality milk protein, fat, and vitamins which have been shown to provide extra protection against stress in newborn calves. Milk Formulaâ„¢1 also contains organic selenium, a more available source of selenium that can help improve calf immunity and prevent white muscle disease.

Standard feeding rate is 8 ounces (0.5 lb) of Milk Formula 1 NT plus 2 quarts of warm (110°F) water. Recommended feeding is 10 ounces (0.63 lb) of Milk Formula 1 NT plus 2 quarts of warm (110°F) water. Add powder to water and mix vigorously. Use of cooler water requires greater mixing action and increases the possibility of the powder settling out. Feed immediately.

General Management Considerations
- Provide clean, fresh water at all times
- Start feeding Kent® Calf Starter when calves are 4 days old. Start with a small amount (0.5 lb) and gradually increase as the calf's consumption increases. Provide a fresh amount each day to stimulate consumption.
- Wean calves when consuming 2 lb/day Kent® Calf Starter.

Commercial Calf Milk Replacers
Commerical Calf Milk Replaces contain high quality milk proteins, fat, mineral and vitamin sources like other Kent milk replacers. Commercial Calf offers an economic advantage by utilizing a different manufacturing process. There are two manufacturing processes of Kent milk replacers, full agglomeration and partial agglomeration. Commercial Calf products are manufactured using the partial agglomeration method which allows a reduced input cost while providing optimal nutrition.

Velocity2 MF is a 28.5% crude protein, and 15% fat product; a special formulation of milk based ingredients and essential nutrients, carefully balanced to promote lean gain in calves. Designed for an intensified calf-feeding program that produces taller, leaner calves in top condition.

Feeding:
Water should always be available. If water is fed in same bucket as milk replacer, provide water within 5-10 minutes of feeding milk replacer. Extra care must be taken to assure bottle fed calves consume water.
Feed according to the following guidelines. Reduce feeding rate of milk replacer by 25-50% (or eliminate 1 feeding per day) 7-10 days before desired weaning to further increase starter intake.

Offer palatable, high quality starter containing at least 22% crude protein beginning on day 4. Calves should consume at least 2 lb of starter per day for 3 days prior to weaning.

The use of lower protein starter may reduce future calf performance.
Calves can be expected to only consume 2-3 lb total starter by 21 days of age. Even though calves do not consume large amounts of starter prior to 21 days of life, it is important to allow them to nibble during this time period.
Starter intake will increase dramatically within a few days of abruptly reducing Velocity2 feeding rates by 25-50%.
Calves can be expected to be consuming 3-6 lb of Velocity2 22 DQ 45 per day at recommended weaning age.
